How to Roll: Flip the digits of your roll around to prevent target fraud. 2424324 becomes therefore 423
Starter: The last digit of your first post will pick what column you then get to pick a starter from
Build a character sheet:
==
League: Gym/Elite (Players in different leagues should never battle each other, see forum for all rules)
Trainer: (Insert name here)
Badges: (None, when you collect badges sort them out here)
Party: (Your active Pokemon, you can have up to 6)
>(Insert starter Pokemon here) (Lvl 5) (Insert type here)
PC: (Keep around 5-10 storage Pokemon here for quick swapping use)
Deep PC: (Keep this section hidden from the public and keep track on a text edit of some sort. Put all your extra catches here, it will be useful later when you need to trade)
==
Faint: When a Pokemon faints it must be marked [Fnt] and moved to your pc or deep pc. You can still trade it, however you may not ever move it to your party unless it gets cured. Ways to cure Pokemon include: Poke Hospital, Beating Gym Leaders, Later in other leagues you can use potions and other items to get the job done. If you faint all of your Pokemon you lose and must start over.
Type Bonuses: Often, you will notice a X3 for electric or a X2 for ghost ect. Here is how to calculate these type bonuses (which will be extremely important later on). Lets say your Party consisted of this:
Party:
>Charmander (Lvl 29)
>Elekid (Lv 21)
Your up against team rocket and roll 640. Normally you would lose this challenge (29+21+640<700). However! electric gets a x3 bonus in battle calculations so instead the results would look like this (29+(21*3)+640>700). So, you would in fact easily win! Play strategically, and swap out Pokemon from your pc to party when they get a type bonus in the battle, it can sometimes make all the difference.
Roll Happenings: Next its time to play the game! Now that you know how to roll go ahead and do so. Follow your result with a happening marked on the image below.
Wild Pokemon: Roll again, take the last 3 digits (If you get more then 650 subtract 650 from that number). Next go onto Baulbapedia or a similar site (See bottom of the page for more links) and type this number in the search box. The first Pokemon that comes up under nation Pokedex is now yours! Go ahead and add it to your party/pc/deep pc it's level should respectively be 5.
Also some Pokemon have different forms. See the FAQ section below for details.
Egg: Add an egg to your party. Next time you roll an egg, roll again and take the last number of that post. You now own the corresponding Pokemon on the picture in the bottom left.
Battle: If your total level equals no more then 85, look above you in the thread your playing in for the last player to post his or her character sheet who'm can not be you or a player out of your league. Add up the level value of all the Pokemon of both of you and your opponents parties and compare. If your value if higher then you win and may award your Pokemon with 5 levels. Otherwise you must faint.
Note: If your total level excedes 85 look for the top 3 posters that provided there character sheet and pick the hardest battle. Then follow the same steps as above.
Trade: Trading is usually tedious work wich is why I highly recommend you utilise the forums of this website. When you land on trade you must swap Pokemon with another player. If your playing with a low amount of other players you may need to wait a bit for more people join.
Events: An event such as Team Rocket or Cave are pretty self explanatory. Combine your next post results with your parties total and match the result with the requirement to pass. If you pass you'll earn levels if your fail you'll lose a Pokemon/faint.
Gym Leaders/Elite Four: Much like an event only quite a rare roll and seemingly more difficult. Also rewards include Evolving healing and massive level rewards. Each time you roll a get simply challenge the next Gym leader in line steadily getting all 4 Badges + The Elite four. Players that beat the elite four have the option to move on to the next league.
Shiny: Shiny Pokemon not only look cool but also level twice as fast! If your lucky enough to roll a shiny keep track of the get. Next time you roll a wild Pokemon whatever it happens to be it comes out as a shiny. (Say you got an Entei after rolling 069, that Entei is shiny). Mark a shiny Pokemon however you find convenient.
